Unsupervised hypernymy directionality prediction using context terms

Abstract: Highlights•This paper introduces, Decide, an unsupervised hypernym directionality prediction method.•Decide uses context terms of the given term pairs to predict the Hypernym direction.•Existing supervised hypernymy directionality prediction methods perform poorly if the training and test data domain differs.•Decide performs well for all different data domains, surpassing the performance of state-of-the-art unsupervised and supervised methods.
