COSTA: Contrastive Spatial and Temporal Debiasing framework for next POI recommendation

Abstract: Highlights•We first define and study spatial–temporal biases in next POI recommendation.•We propose COSTA to mitigate these biases without compromising accuracy.•We introduce DSCG and DTCG metrics to quantify spatial–temporal biases in models.•COSTA outperforms SOTAs with 5.56% and 33.91% gains in accuracy and debiasing.
