Abstract: Current artificial intelligence (AI) regulatory frameworks have made significant progress in defining and developing risk-based measures to promote the transparency and accountability of AI systems at both national and global levels. However, the critical issue of gender-based bias and discrimination prevalent in AI requires special attention and mitigation strategies. This paper examines existing AI governance frameworks from a gender-transformative perspective, emphasizing the need for comprehensive global strategies to address these challenges and reshape the current AI ecosystem.
