Abstract: With the rapid development of intelligent connected vehicles and VANET (vehicular ad-hoc network), many groups, both industrial and academic, have recognized that the shortage of scenario oriented vehicle-to-everything (V2X) testing specification seriously hinders the market process of V2X capable vehicles. It is well known that vehicle density and some other environmental factors severely influence V2X communication performance and corresponding application response performance. However, until now, there is no effective V2X communication scenarios-oriented test scheme available. Hence, in this paper, focusing on vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication, a scenario-oriented V2V test scheme is proposed, while V2X communication impact factors are discussed. Then two test case catalogues-highway case and urban case, are defined. A field test system is designed, while the in-door prototype is used to fulfill the system verification test. NS-3 simulation process is used to verify the effectiveness of proposed test system. Experiment results show that test results coincide with NS-3 simulation results.
