Abstract: What does the future hold for Big Data? The author states that it could be the same qualitatively, just bigger and better, or there might be fundamentally disruptive forces that completely reshape the computing landscape. Trying to predict the future, of course, is a perilous exercise. At best, this article provides some deep insight on future developments in Big Data. At worst, it makes for an interesting cocktail conversation. Either way, it's worth the rumination.
