Annotation-guided encoder-decoder network for bone extraction in ultrasound-assisted orthopedic surgery

Abstract: Highlights•We proposed an annotation-guided encoder-decoder network to extract bone structure from radiation-free ultrasound sequences.•Experimental results validated that our model finished better bone surface extraction than state-of-the-art methods.•Extracted bone surface provided radiation-free 3D bone structure for AR navigation of orthopedic surgery.
