Demo Abstract: Understanding Internal Structure Of Hollow Objects Using Acoustics

Abstract: In this paper, we present the idea of using acoustic sensing over smartphones to understand the internal structure of hollow objects. In the core, we use an elegant, yet lightweight, signal processing pipeline that intelligently uses acoustic chirps to understand the internal structure of the hollow objects. Preliminary experiments on regularly used hollow objects show the potential of the idea.
