The ESW of Wikidata: Exploratory search workflows on Knowledge Graphs

Abstract: Highlights•The paper introduces the Exploratory Search Workflows (ESW) Collection, a resource with detailed real-world exploration sessions using SPARQL queries on Wikidata.•The sessions, performed by 57 M.Sc. students during Graph Database courses, consist of 234 workflows with 45 SPARQL queries each on average, totaling 10.6K queries.•It provides reference workflows as gold-standard solutions and models exploratory sessions, offering real-world data on user-KG interaction during searches.•The ESW collection is a benchmark for KG systems and a resource for educational use, aiding research and improving exploratory search techniques on knowledge graphs.
