Abstract: Highlights•With the Bloom filter, the πCC<math><msub is="true"><mrow is="true"><mi is="true">π</mi></mrow><mrow is="true"><mi is="true">C</mi><mi is="true">C</mi></mrow></msub></math> protocol has low complexity communication.•Receiver does not need to encrypt sender’s data set with a low-power device.•When the size of receiver’s data set is smaller, πCC<math><msub is="true"><mrow is="true"><mi is="true">π</mi></mrow><mrow is="true"><mi is="true">C</mi><mi is="true">C</mi></mrow></msub></math> is more efficient.•We give complete security analysis in the semi-honest model.
