Overall performance optimisation of tapered leg geometry based solar thermoelectric generators under isoflux conditions
Abstract: Highlights•A comprehensive optimisation of tapered leg TEGs is carried out.•Isoflux boundary conditions are used in place of previous isothermal ones.•Short legs produce maximum power, while long legs, maximum efficiency.•The optimum requirements of tapered leg TEGs vary from that of traditional TEGs.
