Robust adaptive filtering based on M-estimation-based minimum error entropy criterion

Abstract: Highlights•Proposing an innovative robust criterion and its corresponding adaptive filtering algorithm, called the M-estimation-based minimum error entropy (MMEE).•Theoretical analysis of the proposed MMEE algorithm, including the stability and the steady-state properties, is studied.•Simulation results demonstrate the superiority and effectiveness of the new algorithm in restraining non-Gaussian noises, compared with some existing robust filtering algorithms.
