A Weibull gradient prior for image restoration

Abstract: Highlights•We observe that Weibull distribution fits well with the gradient distribution of images.•We propose a Weibull gradient prior based model for image restoration.•The shape parameter of the Weibull prior can be automatically estimated and is image adaptive.•The performance of the proposed method is promising especially for piecewise constant images.
