LoRa localisation using single mobile gateway

Abstract: Highlights•It proposes a novel methodology for localisation using a single mobile LoRa gateway.•Machine learning is used to map the distance between targets and gateway from RSSI.•Three LoRa datasets were collected in semi-line-of-sight rangeland settings.•Evaluations were performed for active searching and passive monitoring of targets.•Results show its potential usage under resource constraints.
