Abstract: The important problem of source localization of multi-band signal sampled at sub-Nyquist rates is considered in this paper. We address this problem by considering uniform linear array under the condition of sources being present in the near-field (unlike the existing approaches which focus on far-field scenarios). Starting with an existing delay based sub-Nyquist receiver architecture, a new method to unambiguously estimate the triple- direction of arrival (DOA), range and carrier frequency is proposed. The approach has the capability to provide the appropriately paired DOA and the carrier frequency, thus overcoming the additional difficult step of pairing. Simulation results show unambiguous estimation of parameters and a significant reduction in the overall sampling rate with a minimal performance loss compared to classical Nyquist sampling.
