A reflectance re-weighted Retinex model for non-uniform and low-light image enhancement

Abstract: Highlights•A variational model is proposed to enhance images under diverse low-light conditions.•We introduce a non-uniform weighting map to re-balance the reflectance map.•An alternating scheme is proposed to iteratively solve the proposed model.•Experiments on several popular real-world datasets demonstrate our method’s efficacy.
