Abstract: Highlights•We show that deep learning allows tissue microstructure analysis in clinical settings.•The study was performed on three in-house datasets and one public dataset.•Comprehensive evaluation was performed with multiple brain diseases and signal models.•We found that deep learning preserved disease- & age-related tissue alterations.
