Genetic programming with multi-layered population structure

Abstract: This paper focus on the control of building blocks in the population of Genetic Programming (GP). We propose a GP algorithm that employs multi-layered population and searches solutions by using local search and crossover. The computational experiments were carried out by taking several classical Boolean problems as examples.
