Abstract: Highlights•A total of 24,834 observations in 242 urban communities were involved in analyses.•Green space coverage ratio was positively related to SRH but not park/square.•Presence of park/square is negatively related to SRH for crime victims.•Green space coverage has negative effects on SRH for people feeling very unsafe about community.•The moderation effects of safety depend on green space types.
