Abstract: Highlights•An uncertainty-aware asynchronous scattered motion interpolation method is proposed.•The method uses non-constant-mean anisotropic-covariance Gaussian process regression.•The motion measurements are defined using a novel motion field representation.•The method outperforms the state-of-the-art Gaussian process regression models.•The method allows for uncertainty-aware registration of soft-tissue navigation data.
