Application of uniform experimental design theory to multi-strategy improved sparrow search algorithm for UAV path planning
Abstract: Highlights•A multi-strategy improved Sparrow Search Algorithm (ISSA) is proposed.•The wrap-around L2<math><msub is="true"><mrow is="true"><mi is="true">L</mi></mrow><mrow is="true"><mn is="true">2</mn></mrow></msub></math>-discrepancy in uniform experimental design theory is adopted.•Improvements cover macro-regulation, adaptive and boundary redistribution management.•ISSA is verified by different test function sets, and UAV path planning problems.•Compared with some classical algorithms, ISSA has better performance.
