Abstract: Highlights•To research, the reliability and high energy consumption in CSS is the key problem that needs to be solved. Most of the existing research works only take one aspect and neglects their interconnections. Therefore, the relationships among reliability, performance and energy has been researched in this paper.•A reliable resource supply-based cloud service adaptive framework was proposed which can separately provide on-demand, dynamic composite services and reliable resource supply for users and cloud services.•Directed at the heterogeneous, complex and fragile working environment in CSS, the paper has proposed a reliable service-resource combination mechanism to improve the service capability and realize the dynamic of the overall service area.•For ensuring the rapid resource allocation, the paper has designed a QoS-based resource node classifier (QoS_Classifier) to classify the resource attributes of CSS.•The reliability, performance and energy consumption are taken as multi-object-comprehensive factors when allocating resources for cloud services. The paper has built a virtualized service resources organization model and realized resource allocation strategy for multi-objective optimization.
