Abstract: Highlights•A pyramid attention pooling transformer can segment both the rectum and tumor well.•We propose the rectum centerline measurement method to estimate the DTAV accurately.•A rectum and tumor dataset was constructed based on 192 patients' sagittal CT images.•An automated method for measuring DTAV is as accurate as that of a human expert.
