Electric vehicle eco-driving strategy at signalized intersections based on optimal energy consumption
Abstract: Highlights•A fast PMP method is developed to minimize energy consumption and idling time of EVs.•An energy consumption model considering road context and engine dynamics is presented.•A sigmoid function is used to calculate regenerative braking efficiency.•We validate the scheme via simulations of a signalized intersection in Malaysia.•The optimally controlled EVs significantly reduce energy consumption and idling time.
