SPECT image reconstruction using total variation

Abstract: In this paper the reconstruction of SPECT images is explored using the Total-Variation method. The method is able to recover edge information of the image and is therefore suitable for `blocky' types of images. The paper provides a basic reconstruction algorithm with examples using synthetic and patient data.
