Abstract: Highlights•Spectra and textures were distinct between native and invasive species across the growing season.•Hyperspectral imagery produced more accurate species classification than multispectral data.•Invasive species distribution and composition were controlled by both topography and seasonality.•The large proportions of invasive species indicated that the invasion was threatening to native species and wildlife habitats.
