Extended-dimensional anisotropic diffusion using diffusion paths on inter-color planes for noise reduction

Abstract: Highlights•We extend the diffusion dimension of typical anisotropic diffusion for denoising.•Diffusion dimension is extended by producing diffusion paths on inter-color planes.•Inter-color prediction is proposed to properly utilize an inter-color correlation.•Regionally and directionally varying diffusion threshold is proposed.•In the results, the proposed method showed an outstanding denoising performance.
