Abstract: Echocardiography is an essential imaging method for assessing cardiac function. However, it suffers from a few limitations, including longer scanning time and the musculoskeletal strain on the operator, which can lead to musculoskeletal injuries. In this study, we evaluate a collaborative robot for assisting echocardiography scans and compare the ejection fraction values from images acquired using conventional and robot-assisted scans of the same patients within a timeframe of 24 hours. The findings demonstrate that robot-assisted echocardiography scans maintain a comparable accuracy to manual clinical scans while reducing the scan duration.
