Age estimation in foreign-accented speech by non-native speakers of English

Abstract: Highlights•The first study of age estimation of non-native English speakers and listeners.•Cross-linguistic effects of Arabic, Korean and Mandarin are investigated.•Accuracy was higher for native-language pairs, even though using their L2, English.•Mandarin speakers were estimated to be younger than Arabic speakers.•Mean F0 and speech rate were significant predictors for age estimates.
