Abstract: Highlights•Multiple strong intractability results for the Conditional Minisum Approval Voting Rule are demonstrated.•Tractability is established with constraints on voters' ballot types, specifically for group-dichotomous preferences.•Tractability is demonstrated when voters' dependencies can be illustrated by graphs with bounded vertex cover numbers.
