Abstract: Highlights•We assessed HD-DOT for mapping brain regions supporting overt verb production.•We found HD-DOT is resilient to movement associated with overt speaking.•Key areas were found that activate and deactivate during language production.•HD-DOT is sensitive to spatially distributed differential activity to task types.
