Abstract: The transition from robots and humans workingseparately to performing tasks in a shared workspace presentsnew challenges, such as adapting the robot’s behavior to thestate of the human worker. For instance, maintaining an ap-propriate state of human-to-robot trust is a central antecedentof effective human-robot collaboration. To explore this area,we present a study investigating the effect of trust calibrationon team performance. We investigated with 38 participants theeffects of using robot apologies as well as two different framingscenarios in a robotic Pick and Place task.
