Design and Implementation of Standard Compliance Testing for Chinese News Markup Language

Abstract: CNML(Chinese News Markup Language) is a key technical standard research project in the Tenth Five-year Plan of China, which has entered the stage of application and promotion. Before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Xinhua News Agency realized CNML format to more than 800 users at home and abroad. A large number of application systems based on CNML have appeared. How to detect whether such application systems conform to the national standard of CNML is a very important topic. This paper firstly introduces the general situation and development process at home and abroad of the standard compliance testing, secondly expounds Chinese News Markup Language (CNML) and its conceptual model, thirdly discusses the basic idea, the use case library design, the test flow architecture design and implementation of the standard compliance testing of CNML. In the end, the design and implementation are summarized, the deficiencies are pointed out, and the further research of the subject is prospected.
