Abstract: Highlights•TM2 is a TCDformer-based Momentum Transfer Model for long-term sports prediction.•TM2 applies the Maximal Overlap Discrete Wavelet Transform to detect multiscale potential change points.•TM2 decomposes each player’s momentum into trend and seasonal components using the LLSA module.•TM2 uses the MLP and wavelet attention mechanisms for the prediction of the final results.•Comprehensive experiments based on three sports event datasets.
