Shape-A-Getti: A haptic device for getting multiple shapes using a simple actuator
Abstract: Highlights•We present Shape-a-getti, a novel haptic device.•Shape-a-getti is an un-grounded, non-wearable, and graspable device that can quickly change between different radially symmetrical shapes.•Shape-a-getti can render concave, straight, and convex shapes with different radii.•User evaluation with 21 participants.•Participants could successfully identify virtual objects with different shapes rendered by Shape-a-getti.
