Unravel the landscape and pulses of cycling activities from a dockless bike-sharing system

Abstract: Highlights•We investigate the spatiotemporal usage patterns of a dockless bike-sharing system in Singapore.•An eigendecomposition approach is used.•Several built environment indicators are then derived and correlated with bicycle usage patterns.•The temporal usage patterns of bikes exhibit structural variations across urban locations.•Correlations are observed between the temporal usage patterns and certain built environment indicators.
