Abstract: Highlights•We have presented a fine-grained approach to detecting abusive languages.•This is the first attempt at fine-grained analysis of abusive speech for Tamil.•We have carried out experiments using ML methods to establish baseline results.•We have carried out statistical t-test for the significance of the achieved results.
