Composite descriptor based on contour and appearance for plant species identification

Abstract: Highlights•We present an effective contour representation named local triangle feature.•We propose two fusion schemes to effectively combine the contour and appearance characteristics for plant identification.•The experimental results show that our method outperforms the state-of-the-art plant identification approaches.
