Accelerating discrete dislocation dynamics simulations with graph neural networks

Abstract: Highlights•A graph neural network-based approach is developed for dislocation dynamics.•The costly time-integration procedure is replaced by a trained GNN model.•The approach is demonstrated on a dislocation gliding through a forest of obstacles.•Our hybrid approach is stable and correctly captures long-term dynamics.
