Abstract: Highlights•A suppression algorithm of heterogeneous scattering in turbid water is proposed.•An adaptive automatic white balance and polynomial regression algorithm is proposed.•It reduces the image deviation, and improve the problem of complex model parameters.•It is applied to image segmentation, saliency detection, and keypoint detection.•This method can get better training results in small dataset.
