LaBGen: A method based on motion detection for generating the background of a scene
Abstract: Highlights•We present a simple and flexible background generation method named LaBGen.•Motion detection is used to select patches with the lowest amount of motion.•A pixel-wise median filter is applied on selected patches to generate the background.•The method is evaluated on the SBI dataset; it performs extremely well.•We study the stability of the computed stationary background over time.
