An Effective Method for Constructing Knowledge Graph of Online Course

Abstract: In recent years, MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) and e-Learning (online education) have been hotly discussed in the field of smart education. In order to help learners to better organize and master the course concepts in each course and the relation between the course concepts when studying, we propose a method for constructing automatically a course knowledge graph for each course. In this paper, we first propose an algorithm to obtain the frame of the course outline by using the course outline. Then, a new method for extracting course concepts from course video captions is proposed, which is named: NNGP. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the method is improved by about 10% on the basis of the original method. Finally, the course concepts extracted from the video captions are added to the frame of the course outline to obtain a course knowledge graph.
