Interactions between stimuli-evoked cortical activity and spontaneous low frequency oscillations measured with neuronal calcium
Abstract: Highlights•Spontaneous neuronal Ca2+ and hemodynamic oscillations are correlated.•Low-frequency neuronal oscillations inversely modulate neuronal Ca2+ response.•Single-stimulus-evoked hemodynamic response linearly correlates with Ca2+ response.•High-intensity stimuli reset neuronal oscillations to unpreferable excitability.
