MedT2T: An adaptive pointer constrain generating method for a new medical text-to-table task

Abstract: Highlights•Novel seq2seq medical text-to-table framework with three sub-tasks introduced.•Sub-tasks: numerical constraint, table-format generation, terminology and numerical copy.•Adaptive pointer relational constraint-based method for generating tables from the medical text.•Model achieves state-of-the-art performance on self-collected and public datasets.•Demonstrates improvement in downstream tasks like diagnosis and prognosis.
