Demo: The First Open AR Cloud Testbed

Abstract: We present the first deployment of an open, scalable and distributed spatial computing platform. We show in action its extensible protocols for discovering spatial services and spatial content in a geographic area, representing poses of real and virtual cameras and objects, exchanging content records, and interfacing with spatial computing services like visual localization. We also demonstrate the usage of the platform through a WebXR reference client in the first city-wide prototype testbed in Bari, Italy.
