Abstract: FPGAs offer a flexible and viable platform for many embedded systems applications despite being prone to transient failures. This paper considers the effect of such failures on the performance of tasks running on soft heterogeneous multicore processors. More specifically the paper proposes a methodology to evaluate the combined reliability and throughout of different task execution schedules under multiple configuration scenarios designed to increase the overall system reliability. The paper also applies the proposed methodology on a case study using real world data.
