Abstract: Highlights•A novel decimal-order radial basis function is constructed and extends integer-order PHTs to decimal-order PHTs.•The proposed TDPHTs are applied to color images reconstruction combine with trinion theory and avoids information redundancy.•The proposed TDPHTs are applied to zero-watermarking algorithm and verify its excellent color image description.
