Abstract: Highlights•Conditional adversarial neural network compensates time delay in adaptive optics for atmospheric correction.•Study predicts complete Zernike order for phase-sensitive spatially multiplexed free space optical communication, outperforming existing literature.•Results showcase bit error rate in simulated 1km 4-Laguerre Gaussian mode 4-QAM multiplexed 15 Gbps link under ITU recommendations.
