A Concept for QoS Management in SOA-Based SoS Architectures

Abstract: This paper identifies discrepancies in the sole use of classic QoS calculation in order to determine the quality of a service within the Arrowhead framework, as a representative of SOA-based system of systems architectures. To substantiate the research, several scenarios from an industrial manufacturing environment are used. New key requirements for a QoS management system in SOA-based SoS architectures are identified and based on them a novel concept for an enhanced QoS management system within such architectures is proposed.
