Direct Cortical Stimulation for inducing Artificial Speech Perception: A Preliminary Study

Abstract: Brain stimulation has been used for functional brain mapping in clinical studies for the last 70 years. Recently, direct cortical stimulation has been used to modulate cognitive functions in humans. In this study, we introduce a paradigm using various stimulation techniques and language tasks to induce semantic and auditory speech perceptions in the human brain.
