Locality Preserving Projections with Autoencoder

Abstract: Highlights•LPP is a one-way mapping, its low-dimensional embeddings may be inaccurate.•With the autoencoder, the LPPAE method is proposed, which constructs a two-way mapping.•LPPAE makes the low-dimensional embeddings more accurate and effective.•The experiments show the superiority of LPPAE and its idea can be generalized.
